Problems to access some secure web pages
Symptom: After you upgrade to IE 6.0 SP2 in Windows XP SP2 computer,
some SSL-secured (128-Bit) Web pages and Web sites may not work correctly.
This behavior may be caused by security changes in Windows XP SP2.
Resolutions: 1.
Network connectivity
issues by using ping command.
2. Check
firewall settings or antivirus programs. Make sure that any
firewall or antivirus programs running on your computer are configured
correctly and are not preventing you from connecting to Web sites.
3. Test or modify the MTU. Refer to:

4. Delete the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder
If a copy of the secure web page is in the Temporary
Internet Files folder, the page may not display as expected. To resolve this
problem, you may delete the contents of this folder following these steps:

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer,
click Internet Options, and then click the General tab.

Click Delete Cookies, and then click OK.

3. |
Click Delete Files, and then click OK.
|
|
4. |
Click Clear History, and then click Yes.

5. |
Click OK.

5. Configure security, content, and advanced settings in Internet Explorer.

Configure the security settings for the Trusted sites zone in Internet
Explorer.
- Reset the Security Zones
to the default settings.
- Clear the Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL) state and the AutoComplete history.
- Verify that Internet
Explorer is configured to use SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0
6. Use the System File Checker tool to scan all files that are protected by
Windows File Protection.
7. Third-party browser extensions.
8. Create a new user profile.
9. Turn off any pop-up blocker to test it.
