AT&T 2Wire Modem blocks all incoming traffics

 

Situation: The client switched their ISP from Comcast to AT&T. He has followed this page to modify the public IP address and WAN settings.

He can access the Internet. However, the Internet users can't access the web sites host by the inside server and can't access the server remotely. All ports are blocked.

 

Resolution: By default all incoming traffics are blocked by AT&T 2Wire Modem. You may have two options.

1. Go to Settings>Firewall, select the application or create a new port to forward it to the inside computer IP address. Or select allow all traffics as shown below.

2. call AT&T tech support to assign the public IP address to the router behind the AT&T modem or forward all port to the computer or setup the router as DMZ.
