Troubleshooting RTP300 Router for Vonage Phone

Symptoms: you don't hear a dial tone and the PHONE light is not on.

Resolution:  

1.     Make sure the end of the ethernet cable to the blue port labeled "Internet" on the back of the RTP300 Router.

2.     Make sure your phone is plugged into the green phone port #1 on the RTP300 Router if you have just one line.

3.     Reset the cable modem or DSL modem.

4.     Reset RTP300 Router.

5.     Reset all equipment by this order: Modem and RTP300 router.
