From: Date: 23 Oct 2006 Time: 21:43:12 -0400 Remote Name: c-71-57-115-246.hsd1.il.comcast.net Comments: I just installed 2003 server as a standalone machine and configured DHCP on it. The clients cannot receive an address from (or ping) the server. If I set a static address on the client I can ping from the server to the client but am still unable to ping from the client to the server. Also, if I set static addresses on all the clients I can ping from each client to all the others but, again, not to the server. I've disabled the firewall on the server and got a small hub with just the server and one client connected to it with the same results. Any ideas why I cannot make connections to the server? I'm using 192.168.16.x addresses with a 255.255.255.0 subnet mask.
