Reconnect without logon

I am having a bit of a problem. I have some log on scripts that run to
map some network drives. My problem is that some of my people take
their laptops home, login, then never log out and bring the laptop back
in. Now, when they get back to the office they synchronize but they do
not log in so the login scripts are not running. Is there a way to
have the network drives always mapped and just only work when they are
in the office? So the drives mapped would always appear but if they
tried to access them outside the corp network they would just fail.
