Chicago Area Laptop for rent: $35 per day plus $10 for additional day
rental

Can ping but access a remote computer because of Cisco switch port configuration

Case 1: The laptop is Multihomed computer, wired connects to the SAN using VLAN 900 and IP 10.5.0.101, and wireless connects to the LAN using VLAN 1 and IP 10.0.5.9. From LAN, we can access the laptop using Remote Desktop via wireless or IP 10.0.5.9. In the SAN, we can ping the laptop IP 10.5.0.101 but can't access it using remote desktop.

Troubleshooting: We found the laptop wired is connecting to the Cisco switch port with "switchport mode access" configuration. Since the wired is located in the VLAN 900, it should be configured to add this configuration: "switchport access vlan 900".
