HP Thin Client Error: protocol security negotiation failure - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: When HP Thin Client tries to connect to Windows 2008 R2 RD Server, it gets these message: RDP Client Error: Could not create connection and Error: protocol security negotiation failure.

Troubleshooting: Based on our test, if the Enable encryption on the Thin Client is disabled, we may receive this message. To fix it, please follow this steps:

1. Click Tool icon.

2. Click Edit Default Connection. Note: If you don't see Edit Default Connection, click Administrator/User Mode Switch.

3. Make sure Enable encryption is checked.
