Situation: the client has followed
How to
configure Outgoing Email in SharePoint to setup outgoing
email in Office SharePoint Server 2007. However, when the SharePoint
notifications never sent to the users.
Troubleshooting; 1. The SMTP is setup correctly.
2. We have tried to enable relay on the SMTP server to allow the
SharePoint access the SMTP server.
3. We found all notification emails stay in the queue.
4. Administrator finally receive the undeliverable email which shows
the email address was sent to the LAN domain instead of internet domain
name, for example, it looks like this:
blin@chicagotech.local.
