Baracuda: Failed to connect to backup agent software on data

Situation: you may receive this ERROR: Failed to connect to backup agent software on data source server name from Barracuda backup service.

Resolution: make sure the Barracuda agent software is installed on the server or is running.

In our case, the services doesn't show the Barracuda service. Then we found there is the update Barracuda in the Program Files. Run it to repair. that doesn't fix. We need to remove Barracuda agent first and then re-install the new version.
