I am trying to P2V My Exchange 2007 server. The OS is Server 2008 x64 SP2. The error message from the SCVMM is below.

(Unknown error (0x8000))

Recommended Action
Resolve the issue in Hyper-V and then try the operation again.

The Volume of the M: Drive which is the drive that contains the mailbox databases is 1.99 TB total - with about 12.TB used. I am adding this as a SCSI Device.

Any help is apreciated.

The error displayed by VMM indicates corruption on the disk. One way to know if a disk has been marked as dirty is to use the File System Utility, or fsutil. Type fsutil dirty query followed by the drive letter and a colon, such as

fsutil dirty query e:

If the disk has errors that should be fixed (or has been marked as dirty), FSUTIL reports:

Volume = E: is Dirty

If the disk doesn't have any known errors, FSUTIL reports:

Volume - E: is NOT Dirty

Hope this helps!
