NLB issues on W2K8

Postby guest » Fri Jan 13, 2012 12:53 pm

I have setup 2 W2K8 Servers are is configuring the NLB.

Am hitting problem with one of the host, which is always converging. The other host is converged successfully.

Wat could be the problem?

The status was "succeeded" when I add the problematic host. There is no error on the event log, it just shows converging.

Network adapter is teamed on the working host, with multicast set. Network adapter is not teamed on the problematic host.

Port Rules: have port 80 and 443 set using both tcp/udp, multiple host set to single and equal.

Any advice? I have tried deleting the NLB cluster and reconfigure, but still faces the same issue.

When you use NLB within virtual machines based on W2K8 you should check following KB:

Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V virtual machines generate a Stop error when NLB is configured or when the NLB cluster does not converge as expected
