SCCM client issue (not registering)

i have a deplyment of SCCM 2007+SP2 on windwos 2008 R2 with SQL 2008+SP1 the problem is after isntalling client i am getting the below error on the ccmexec log

Failed in WinHttpReceiveResponse API, ErrorCode = 0x2ee2

[CCMHTTP] HTTP ERROR: URL=http://XXXX.XXX.COM/ccm_system/request, Port=80, Protocol=http, SSLOptions=0, Code=12002, Text=ERROR_WINHTTP_TIMEOUT

HandleRemoteSyncSend failed (0x80040231).

CForwarder_Sync::Send failed (0x80040231).

CForwarder_Sync::Send failed (0x80040231).

any help will be much appreciated

finally ot works , thanks allfor your help the issue wasthe site system can't install the file disaptch manager and this is SCCM is looking in \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\X64\system 32 for a dll named "smsperf" the proble was this dll is not in X64 its in i386 as soon as i copied it to the x64 location , the component was ionstalled sucessfully and the clients are able to register to the server , thanks all for your help

We've had same issue...even before SP2, resolution was to configure the HTTP registry keys MaxFieldLength and MaxRequestBytes on the IIS server (MP) to allow for larger request header sizes recommendation from kb955585.



HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters

MaxFieldLength --> DWORD 50000 (decimal)

MaxRequestBytes---> DWORD 500000 (decimal)
