Update over SCUP & SCCM - Error = 0x800b0109

I try to update Adobe Flash Player on the following way:

- Downloaded Catalog from Adobe
- Publish Catalog in SCUP
- Deploy Software Update in SCCM

My clients get message about available Updates.

Downloading of the update is completed but after a while the installation failed on step "Preparing for Installation"

WUAHandler.log include following lines:

Going to search using WSUS update source. WUAHandler

I already read this thread http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/Sho ... &SiteID=17
I also copied certificates and enabled WUA in the policies like mentionend here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 30992.aspx and here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 31031.aspx

Can anybody pleas help me?

I have a lab that does SCUP, and for it I have to export the WSUS certificate, and import it on each client into the Trusted Publishers and Trusted Root Certification Authorities, as well as enable the GP for "Allow signed content from intranet Microsoft update service location".

When I have those three things set, my clients deploy the updates appropriately. I can only assume that the WSUS cert is not correct, or not imported properly. Did you export the WSUS cert from the Settings in SCUP?

It was really a problem with the certificates.

I have imported the certificates with cermgr.msc.
After I did it with MMC and adding the snap-in it works fine.

Now I have the next problem. Distribution of Adobe Reader with *.msi via SCUP and SCCM.
If anybody has some hints... ;-)

THANKS! That was the final step needed (of so many failing in the whole very large process by the way) to get the SCUP, SCCM, 3-tier certificate solution working.

Make sure to put the "SCUP Signing Certificate" in Certificates "Trusted Publishers" on LOCAL MACHINE (started using mmc --> certificates), and not in CURRENT USER (started using certmgr.msc).
