Exchange: HTTP 403 forbidden response was received

Postby guest » Mon Jun 30, 2014 8:12 am

Q: We are running Exchange 2007. When we test it from www.testexchangeconnectivity.com, we receive "An HTTP 403 forbidden response was received. The response appears to have come from Unknown".

A:
1) Take the IIS backup.

2) Remove the Windows Integrated and Basic authentication from Default Web Site.

3) Remove the SSL from Exadmin and EXCHWEB virtual directories.

4) Force SSL on Exchange Virtual directory.

5) Remove the Anonymous authentication from Exchange-OMA virtual directory.

6) Enable the Form Based Authentication.
