How to ping from EqualLogic SAN to other device

Postby blin » Fri Sep 26, 2014 12:44 pm

Q: We have EqualLogic SAN. How can we ping from the SAN to other device?

A: Login telnet to the SAN, for example telnet 10.255.255.4. Then type ping "-I SAN network port ip address device ip address", for example ping "-I 10.255.255.4 10.255.255.56"
If you receive "56 date bytes", that means the ping doesn't work.
