Use yum to install the Samba package:

yum -y install samba

Or
Yum install samba samba-client samba-common

Before editing configuration file, backup of original file as /etc/samba/smb.conf.bak

mv /etc/samba/smb.conf /etc/samba/smb.conf.ba
