How to uninstall and block specific Windows Updates

In a case you have a problem with one Windows update, you may want to uninstall and block the specific Windows Updates. Here is how.

For Windows 7/8

1. Go to Programs and Features, click "View installed updates". Highlight the update you want to uninstall and click Uninstall.

2. After uninstalling the update, you may need to restart the computer. Then check the Windows update again. Now, highlight the update you don't want to install. Right click and select Hide update.

Windows 10
1. It is the same of Windows 7 to uninstall the update.

2. You can download the “Show or hide updates” from Windows 10 from Microsoft. Run Show or hide updates to hide the update you don't want to install.
