Outlook Does't receive appointment response

Situation: The client uses Office 365/Outlook. He sent a meeting appointment to a gmail recipient and the recipient accepted. But the user doesn't see the response.

Troubleshooting: We run Message trace and it confirm the appointment was sent. But the message trace doesn't show the response reply. We tested it again using different user's outlook to the same recipient. It works. Finally, we find the client has a gmail account with the same email as the 365 account.
