Solved: can't access the intrenet

Postby chicagotech » Fri Feb 02, 2007 3:45 pm

Problem: the client changes their network IP addresses from public IP for private IP. The Windows DHCP assigns the private IP to the workstations, but none of workstation can access the Internet.

Troubleshooting: the ipconfig /all shows the workstation default gateway and DNS are using public IP. Open DHCP in the server, go to the scope options. change the router, DNS IP to the server IP instead of the public IP.
