ASP.NET 2.0.50727.0 Event ID 1309

Postby guest » Sat May 30, 2009 2:49 pm

I am testing CRM 4.0 right now. I have a test server where I deployed our CRM
3.0 environment then ran an upgrade to 4.0. I have an offfline client
installed on a laptop. When I go offline, and go to a custom entity that I
have set up to sync, it gives me an error when I try to open a record that is
not owned by me. It is a generic error with no info but in the event log I
see event ID 1309. Inside the message I see:

Exception message: The 'RetrievePrincipalAccess' method does not support
entities of type 'new_designerpoints' on the client

But I am set as the Owner of the record, it works fine. This seems to happen
with all my custom entities. I am a System Administrator on CRM so I should
have access.

What could be causing this?

Here is the full message from the event log:

Hi Matt,

I'm running into the same problem.
Did you find any solution for that?

Regards,
Torsten

Hi,

I have the same problem and I found a solution with the KB955977.

After applying the hotfix on both server and client, the problem is not resolved !

About my custom entity, I also noticed that the many to many relationship with account isn't synchronized correctly. When my client is online, I found data but if I go offline, relationship data are missing. Did you noticed that bug ? I think, it related to the first issue.

I'll let you know about the solution as soon as I have one.

regards,

Amelie.
Hi Amelie,

This could be because (by default) you see only your records (filtered on
owner = CurrentUser)

In Outlook Client, check for what Local Data Groups you have set.

CRM Menu --> Modify Local Data Group -- > double click on "My Accounts" and
you would see filter set as Owner=CurrentUser)

Thanks!
