Case 1: Make you have good connection to the domain controller and have correct DNS settings in the CRM server.

Case 2: Doubles check the the CRM Directory Security settings in the IIS. In our case, the Security was setup to use Basic Authentication. After installing Microsoft updates, we receive this error. Enabling Integrated Windows authentication fixed the problem.

Case 3: Make sure you enter correct domain name and user name when logon. Also check this post: Business Management Error user ID is not valid - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6136 and No Microsoft CRM user exists with specified domain - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6135

Case 4: Check the user permissions. ASP.NET 2.0.50727.0 Event ID 1309 viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6134&p=10175#p10175 and CRM EVent ID 1309 viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6133

Case 5: You may want to re-registering .net framework. Check this post: CRITICAL ::::::issue with CRM 4.0 event id 1309 viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6132

Case 6: 1. FIX: Error message when you run an ASP.NET 2.0 Web application ...
