Situation: During the enterprise activation of your BlackBerry you may receive this message: "An error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator".

Case 1: This error occurs when the Enterprise Activation password on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server has not been set.

Solution: You will need to reset the enterprise activation password. To do this:

Login to the Control Panel.
Click Users.
Click the drop-down arrow next to users name and select "BlackBerry".
Click "Reset Enterprise Activation Password to cat".

Case 2: the same user has changed his phone and the PIN is different from the original user's phone PIN. Remove the user and re-add it.

Case 3: The network message used to activate the BlackBerry device contains an incorrect activation password. Re-type the enterprise activation password on the BlackBerry device.
If this does not work, try to set or clear the password following this article: How to set or clear Blackberry Enterprise Activation password - http://www.howtonetworking.com/email/blackberry4.htm

case 4: The BlackBerry device PIN is already in use on another BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Resolution: Remove the user and re-add it.
