VPN issue behind Linksys SPA2102

Postby chicagotech » Thu Sep 02, 2010 11:33 pm

Q: I am having trouble connecting to my PPTP VPN server behind Linksys SPA2102 .

This is my connections
AT&T DSL Cable Modem (all ports are open) --> SPA2102 (port 1723 is forwarding) --> USR8200 Firewall/VPN --> PCs

When trying to establish the VPN, I receive Error code 718. How do you fix it?

A: We may have two options to fix it.

1. Enable DMZ. Login Linksys SPA2102. The username is user and password is 1234. Note: SPA2102 Admin login is locked by VOIP provider, only user login is available. Click Advanced>Applications. By default the DMZ is disable. Click it and select Yes to enable it.

2. Move the SPA2102 Admin behind the router.

FYI, by default the LAN IP for the Linksys SPA2102 is 192.168.7.1. The HDCP IP starts with 192.168.7.2.
