How to make two sunbets as one LAN

Postby chicagotech » Sat Dec 25, 2010 5:34 pm

Q: I have two ISP (AT&T and Clear 4G) for redundnacy. Some computers connect to TAT&T and others connect to Clear. What I want to do is make both group computers can access each other as a LAN. Is it possible?

A: Yes, is possible. We may have many options.
1. Buy a dule WANs router so that all computer in the same LAN. That gives the real redundnacy.
2. You can do it without buy addional Dule WAN router. This is what I did before. My server and all devcies using static IP are setup to use AT&T modem as default gateway and other devices using dynamic IP are setup to use Clear as default gateway, and enable onley one DHCP. Both group computers (static IP and dynamic IP devices) use the same IP range so that they can alk to each other while they may be using different default gateway.
