Solved: Vista Remote Desktop Slow and Drop Issue

Postby chicagotech » Sun Sep 16, 2007 10:59 am

Symptoms: 1. Using Vista Remote Desktop to access windows 2003 slow.
2. Using Remote desktop access Vista slow.
3. Drop the connection after logon.

Resolution: 1. Disable IPv6 on the Vista.
2. Run "netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled" command.
3. In one case, the remote desktop is running WPA Enterprise wireless. After connecting via RDC, the wireless needs to re-verify the authentication that drops the connection. That also drops the RDC.
