Reinstall Remote Desktop Connection client - Windows 8

Postby guest » Sun Sep 30, 2012 11:03 pm

RDP client gives me the message "Remote Desktop Connection has stopped working . . . a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Tried searching for a way to re-install and can't find anything. Searched MS website to download and re-load client. Haven't found anything there yet either. Searched a few forums I visit.

Anyone have any resources?

Many thanks in advance.

It could be the RDP settigns, for example printer mapping or video. This link may help too: Troubleshooting Remote Desktop Connection has stopped working

Furthermore, try to open CMD with administrator, and run SFC /Scannow to check if any system files were corrupted.

Checked it again (yesterday) - now it's working.

I did system restore (no difference)

Googled. Asked question here. Restarted multiple times. Shutdown. Turn back on.

Did the sfc /scannow to see what if any it would come up with - nothing.

At least it's working...
