Situation: when access RD Gateway, you may receive this error:-

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer "IP address" for one of these reasons:

2) You might have specified the remote computer in NetBIOS format (for example, computer1), but the RD Gateway is expecting an FQDN or IP address format (for example, computer1.fabrikam.com or

Troubleshooting: Open RD Gateway Manager and edit your Remote Desktop Resource Authorization Policy (RD RAP) so that it allows connecting to all of the different destination servers. For example, if you want to connect to a server using ip address/netbios/fqdn then you must list all three entries.

That fixed my problem. For Windows 2012 R2 RDS, go to RD Gateway Manager, navigate to Policies>Resource Authorization Policies. Right click on the policy, and select Properties. Click Network Resource. Check Allow users to connect to any resource.

Restart the RD Gateway service.
