Microsoft VMBus Network Adapter doesn't work

Postby chicagotech » Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:46 pm

Q: We moved a Windows 2003 server between two Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-v. The Windows 2003 VM is running but can't setup network and there is yellow exclamation on Microsoft VMBus Network Adapter. Uninstalling and re-installing it doesn't fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the link. If I select update the drive, I see 3 Network adapters: Microsoft VMBus Network Adapter version 14.40.0.443 (3/14/2008), Microsoft VMBus Network Adapter version 18.22.48.17 (11/17/2007) and Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus Network Adapter. Selecting Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus Network Adapter fixes the problem. thank you.

I had the same issue. Installing Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus Network Adapter fixes the problem.
