Resolutions of Metro apps doesn't work in Windows 8

1. Make sure the minimum Resolution for Apps to run is 1024x768 (recommend 1366x768)
2. Delete the OLE key and reboot, that will rebuild the permissions of DCOM.

Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole
3. Update Graphic Drivers.
4. Update the App from the Store and install Windows update
5. Check if UAC(User Account Control) is enabled. UAC must be enabled for Metro apps to work. To check, simply typeUACfrom the home screen and it will appear on the Settingssearch result.
6. Using the "refresh PC" option in the Metro Settings > General page seemed to resolve the problem
