Situation: The client is running Windows 2008 DFS. The DFS has some issues and Event Viewer has this message: “The server has IP addresses with conflicting site associations”.

Troubleshooting: We find the DNS\DC was setup 127.0.0.01 as Primary DNS. Quoted on Microsoft article: "If the loopback IP address is the first entry in the list of DNS servers, Active Directory might be unable to find its replication partners". Changing the DC\DNS IP address as Primary DNS fixes the problem. Please refer to this post:
