Webpage that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS

Postby blin » Thu Aug 20, 2009 4:05 pm

Q: In my Windows 7, I get this message: "This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage" when trying to access a HTTPS site. Why?

A: This is the same message of previous IE: "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?" To continue, click Yes.

You may want to disable/enable Display Mixed Content in the IE security. To do that, navigate to tools>internet options>security>custom level>display mixed content.

Or setup a group policy to enable it:

Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Internet Explorer -> Internet Control Panel -> Security Page -> Internet Zone -> Display Mixed Content: Enable the policy and enable Mixed Content

If you've tried the solution (tools>internet options>security>custom level>display mixed content: enable) and it STILL DOESN'T WORK: apply same solution above to ALL 4 security zones (Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, Restricted Sites).
