How can I switch between Primary and Secondary ASA

Postby chicagotech » Tue Jul 08, 2014 2:15 pm

Q: We have two Cisco ASA configured as Failover. How can I switch between Primary and Secondary ASA?

A: Quoted from Cisco
Failover Triggers

1. The unit can fail if one of these events occurs:

2. The unit has a hardware failure or a power failure.

3. The unit has a software failure.

4. Too many monitored interfaces fail.

5. The "no failover active" command is entered on the active unit, or the "failover active" command is entered on the standby unit.
