When the installation takes forever to run or freezes, you may want to check the install log to check the status. To open the installer log, accessible from menu: Window > Installer Log.

Other installation issues.
• Downloaded Installer files are corrupted.
• Target system volume corruption
• Hardware compatibility issue, or need to upgrade firmware, for example ""This disk cannot be used to start up
your computer"
• Remove system variables like extraneous peripherals
