Q: I have been using Edit In Photoshop in Lightroom for a couple months. Now, I have a poroblem. When I click Edit In Photoshop in Lightroom, iy open the Photoshop., but doesn't show the image. How to fix it?

A: If the Edit In Photoshop command has stopped working, resetting Lightroom’s preferences by following these steps:

Reset your preferences

To reset your preferences, do the following:
1.Quit Lightroom.
2.Navigate to the preferences file: •Windows 7, 8: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs
•Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist

3.Drag the preferences file to the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac OS).

Important (Mac OS): The user Library file is hidden by default on Mac OS X 10.7 and later. For temporary access to the user Library file, press Option and choose Go > Library in the Finder.

Important (Windows): The AppData folder is hidden by default. To view it, choose Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options. In the Advanced area of the View tab, make sure that Show Hidden Files and Folders is selected. Then click OK.

In Lightroom CC/6, there’s a simple automated way of doing it—just hold down Alt and Shift (Windows) / Opt and Shift (Mac) while opening Lightroom and it’ll ask whether to reset the preferences. The timing is crucial—hold them down while clicking/double-clicking on the app/shortcut.
