Is it possible to change an expired password over Internet

Postby chicagotech » Thu Nov 04, 2010 5:27 pm

Q: We have some Mac users whose computers don't join the domain, some users who use Cisco VPN remotely or from home. Is it possible to change an expired password over Internet without coming to the office?

A: Yes, I can think about 2 options.

1. Enable cahnging exired password on the OWA. This link may have more details:

2. You can setup Remote Desktop host using XP and server for remote access. Don't add any users to remote desktop. When a user whose password expired logon it, it prompt for changing the password. After changing the password, he will be denied to access because the remote desktop doesn't allow the user logon.
