Ping time clock intermittently

Postby blin » Wed Oct 12, 2011 4:50 pm

Situation: The client has a problem to pull data from paylocity time clock.

Troubleshooting: When we tested it by ping the clock IP, we got a lot timeout. Use ezConfig.exe, we found the TCP/IP settings had an issue and the subnet was class c instead of class B. Changing the subnet from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.0.0 fixes the problem.

We had a similar case. The problem is the time clock doesn't in our Cisco switch environment and it keeps time out. Our resolution is create a VLAN for Timeclock devices.
