Windows Vista wireless issues

Postby markga » Fri Sep 07, 2007 7:47 am

Hi there.

I am running Windows Vista home premium, I am having issues when trying to connect using wireless with my Open 624w router.

I am using open 303w usb wireless nics.

Windows detects the wireless network and the type of network whether secured or not but I can not connect to the network.

The error I get is "wireless association failed as windows did not receive any response from the router or access point".

Security on or off makes no difference.

Windows xp can connect to the wireless network and browse the net with out problems.

Have updated to the latest software for the 303w's, with no difference, 624w is running the latest firmware.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Mark

If you already have the new firmware and driver for the router and NIC, try to install MS update. This link may give more details.
