1) Update the router's firmware to latest, then after, reset it to factory defaults. Then, change the channel to a different one than it is currently set at.

2) Install the lan and wireless drivers from here: ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)

If the wireless is Intel, install the latest driver from their site instead.

3) Uninstall any 3rd party security suite or firewall, if installed. Best to do in safe mode with the special tool for the specific product.

4) If not using Homegroup to share, disable IPv6 for the wireless adapter and also disable the IP Helper service.

I fix this problem by uninstalling anti virus software and re-installing it.

In our case, the problem is the DHCP is out of the IP addresses. We find more and more people bring smartphones and tablets with them. These wifi devices take the IP addresses from the DHCP and sometimes, the AP doesn't release the IP addresses even the device left. We fix this problem by upgrade Cisco AP ISO or upgrade them to Wireless LAN Controller.
