Vista: Logon failure unknown user name or bad password

Postby blin » Fri Sep 21, 2007 8:19 pm

Situation: I have a 1TB fireware connecting to USR8200 Firewall/VPN/NAS. It is formatted as FAT32 as required by USR8200. XP computers can map it. However, Vista can't. If I try to map it uisng net use command, I would receive System error 1326 has occurred and Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

Resolution: It works after re-set LM authentication level in Vista to Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session if negotiated following this link:

Solved: share between Vista and Snap Server
