Office 2013 update problem

Postby blin » Mon Nov 28, 2016 4:39 pm

After upgrading one computer from Windows 7 to Windows, the Office 2010 has an issue. We upgraded the Office 2010 to 2013 32 bit. However, on Office 2013, it doesn't have Update option as shown the screenshot.

If I run the update manually, I can't run update.

The office 2013 is 32 bit for sure. How can we fix this problem?

According to your screenshot, the Office Standard 2013 is a MSI-based installation. So it won’t have an Update option. Only for Office 2013 Click-to-Run installations, an Update option is displayed.

To determine whether your Office installation is Click-to-Run or MSI-based, follow these steps:

1. Start an Office 2013 application, such as Microsoft Word 2013.

2. On the File menu, select Account.

3. For Office 2013 Click-to-Run installations, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based installations, the Update Options item isn't displayed.

Regarding your concern why you cannot install SP1 for Office 2013. It may be that the Office Standard 2013 installation has SP1 included. Please click About Word to get the current version number of Word 2013. If the version number is 15.0.4569.1506 or later, the Office 2013 installation has already been in SP1 level.
