Internet dies randomly...

Postby Xaio » Tue Nov 06, 2007 3:11 pm

Hello!
Ive been searching around on the internet for several months to find a fix to this VERY annoying, Anyhow lets get onto the problem...

As the topic says, My internet or more like some parts of it dies randomly and is only fixed by a reboot (it actually solved itself but it happend once ever)
Both opera and internet explorer stops working, Dosnt work with a proxy either, MSN stops working aswell.

IRC, Games(most games atleast) and Ventrilo works, I can also Ping everything even DNS adresses.
I got no Firewall on, No Router, No Antivirus program, Others in my network CAN access the internet that I share to them while i cant when this problem occur.
A Friend of mine that recently got vista aswell and he gets the same problem as i do on 2 diffrent systems.

Ive tried to follow tons of guides about deleting various things in the network device and change to another DNS server, NONE have worked.
I know that ive seen lots of these threads but theres not a single one that actually have any workaround/patch for the problem, Or well atleast not working for me...

I also read more than once that others are using a program called Utorrent, So do i but i dont think it got anything to do with the problem but who knows...

Not sure if i got all the info in here, But i hope its enough!
Thanks in advance.

How to do you connect to the Internet without router? Do you connect to the Internet directly? Is this Vista computer? Posting the result of ipconfig /all here may help.

Does the network display Public or Private? What's the status when it has the issue? Have you tried to disable LAN IPv6?

What type of internet connection do you have? PPPoE or Cable... Also what brand of Ethernet adapter are you using. Some Network cards don't play nice with PPPoE connections when used with Vista.
