System error 1219 - Multiple connections to a server

Postby chicagotech » Tue Aug 14, 2007 12:39 pm

Situation: The client maps a network drive using his username. Then he used administrator account to map another drive, he receives this message:

System error 1219 has occurred.

Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more
than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the
server or shared resource and try again..

Resolution: He should not use different username to map the network drive. He can use net use * /d to clean all mapping. Then re-mapping using one username.
