Can't see Windows XP/2003 in TSM

Postby guest » Wed Nov 29, 2006 5:13 pm

I need your help, I have tried almost anything and I am new to this, so
here we go and go easy on me.

We have a w2k domain, all servers are w2k server but two of them, they are w3k server and they are members of the domain. we can see them, we can rdp to them,we can see them on our AD, so they can be reached.
HERE is the problem , when I go to any other server and I go to TSM I can see all servers but the two that are w3k How can I get them there.

Thanks gurus, thanks a bunch for any help.

This is by design. According to MS only Windows Server 2003-based Terminal Services servers and Windows 2000-based servers with Terminal Services installed in either Application Server mode or in Remote Administration mode advertise themselves as Terminal Services servers.

To cause a computer that is running Windows XP Professional or Windows Server 2003, but is not configured as a Terminal Services server, to advertise itself as a Terminal Services server: 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
2. Locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server
3. Change the value of the TSAdvertise DWORD value from 0 to 1.
4. Quit Registry Editor.
5. Restart the computer.
