Can't access using FTP and RDC on a multihomed computer

Postby chicagotech » Fri Nov 16, 2007 8:39 pm

Situation: The client has a FTP server running windows 2003 server. He used to access the FTP and RDC from the Internet. After he enabled another NIC to connect to other network, he can't access it any more.

Troubleshooting: When he enabled the 2nd NIC, he also assigned a default gateway. A computer should not have two default gateways. Otherwise, it may not how to return. After removing the default gateway from the 2nd NIC, he can access the server FTP and RDC as before.
