Auto Connect VPN at startup

Postby monty76 » Tue Feb 06, 2007 9:28 pm

Hello,

I am having great difficulty establishing VPN auto connect on remote computers. I support a workgroup that allow remote computers (about 15) access to shares via VPN. The VPN works well as long as users manually establish the connection then synchronize the offline files.
We have attempted to make the process somewhat automated by saving the VPN connection short-cut to the startup folder of every user for the computer. This method is a hit and miss. It does not work as it was intended.
My goal is to create a logon script or create a registry key that will establish the VPN automatically without user intervention. I have done a great deal of research on the subject; however, I write very little code. Can someone point me in the right directions or help me out? Open to all suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick response. I have already attempted to read those pages. They appear to have broken links. Any other suggestions? What would be the easiest way to implement a solution?

Thanks!

Since you have over 15 users, I would use CMAK. Just create one cmak for all users. Good luck!

Hey all, is there a script I can give to a user as a msi or bat that will
auto setup their VPN Settings so all they need to do is enter in their user
