IAS Event ID 2 with Reason-Code = 18

Postby guest » Mon Mar 03, 2008 3:12 pm

Scott,

Code 66 stands for "Invalid authentication type" as opposed to 18 which is
"unsupported auth type".
I suggest that you turn on tracing: run "netsh ras set tr * en" and check
your logfiles at %windir%\tracing. if there are any logs that seem
suspicious, copy them to this news group and someone will take a look.

Thanks, Manju

IAS does not support LEAP. So, you are right in that if IAS would give that
error if PEAP is presented.
