Can't access TS because of multihomed computer

Postby chicagotech » Tue Apr 29, 2008 10:29 pm

According to your report, two network adapters in each NLB node are in the
same subnet (192.168.1.*). This may cause some unexpected behaviors. For
more information, please refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base
article:

Expected Behavior of Multiple Adapters on Same Network
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=175767

Actually, the recommended NLB configuration is to have two network adapters
on each node, one for dedicated adapter and the other for NLB adapter and
set the NLB in unicast mode. The dedicated IP address and virtual (NLB) IP
address should not be in the same subnet. I suggest that you configure the
IP address of dedicated adapter on both NLB nodes to use another subnet to
test this issue again.

For the information about how to assign IP address in this environment,
please refer to the following Knowledge Base article.
