there are lots of methods to this.one such was to

A.

1. Click Start and Run
2. Type "Control Userpasswords2" and press enter.
3. Uncheck the box for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
4. Click Apply and Ok.

Another solution is to use a tool called TweakUI from microsoft which allows you to directly login into an account, even if you have multiple accounts. Although not completely helpful in real-time, but is useful in certain scenarios. You can also use TweakUi to unlock many hidden features in Windows XP.
