Vista can't access VPN with Event ID 1

Assuming you use PPTP, open Network and Sharing Center and then Manage Network Connections. Make sure the WAN Miniport is PPTP under Device Name. If not, switch to PPTP.

If switch to PPTP doesn't work, you may delete it and re-create another one. Please post back with the result.
