Can't ping hostname  - Resolution with screenshots

 

Situation: I can't ping any hostname from one windows 2012 R2 server. However, I can ping the same server using IP with -a. nsllokup also can find the hostname. What could be the problem?

Troubleshooting: We find the computer lost the trust to the domain. If we access the Local Users and Computers in Manage and open the properties of administrator, we don't see the domain. Re-joining the domain fixes the problem.
